It’s that time of the week to jump on the scales. Well, I’ll be honest. I didn’t jump. I tip-toed to the scales. I was a little hesitant as its my first time checking in for a challenge in a while.
But here was the result: 132.2! So I’m down 1.2lbs from last week! Still over my comfort zone but I feel a lot better seeing a smaller number after seeing them creep up over the last 3 months.
The Hundred Pushup challenge is definitely keeping me challenged that’s for sure! I’m doing girly push-ups but that’s better than no push-ups at all! My max set for the first week is 41. Didn’t get in as many as I’d hoped but I will definitely do better this coming week!
For Lent, my husband and I have decided to give up fast food. I’ve never really celebrated Lent before (its never been a big part of Baptist tradition as far as giving anything up – you know we Baptists like to eat) but both of us felt the tug to do it this year so starting today no more fast food until April 24th! I’m hoping by then we will be so used to not eating it that we will just stick with the plan. So I’ve got a lot of meal planning to do! My crock pot is going to be my best friend next 40 days! So if you have yummy and healthy crock pot recipes that you would like to share, send them my way!
I haven’t started reading my book yet but hopefully things will calm down at home so I can get that started! I’m so looking forward to it!
Here are my stats:

Girlfriend that is awesome!! And I am doing girly push ups too, maybe when I am done this challenge I can graduate 😉 I am a Baptist too and yes we do love to eat, love those covered dish dinners..LOL! I haven’t thought about giving anything up, I am going to think about it!
Thanks Trish!
my cousin has always said that baptist don’t do lent because we don’t have anything left to give up (drinking, dancing, cussing, smoking, etc) 😛 eating is just about the only thing we can do with reckless abandon! i’m giving up carbonation for lent. its gonna take focusing on God to get me through this!!
great loss for the week! 🙂 as small as you are loosing any faster isn’t reasonable or healthy. great job.
LOL! I never thought about it that way but you’re right! Baptists don’t have anything else “fun” to give up…lol. Kidding of course! Thanks for your continued support & encouragement!
That’s a good challenge and loosing that fast is great. Keep it up. 🙂
Thanks Miss Rhei!
Great job this week! You’re gonna be rocking the push-ups before you know it! I think if you can knock out 41 modified push-ups you can do a few non-modified. Come on give it a shot! I bet you can do it!
Thanks Deb! I’m slowly building up the courage to try out “big girl’ pushups! LOL 🙂
Great job on the loss and inching closer to your comfort zone! Be sure to post lots of your healthy crockpot recipes – we could all benefit from this!
Thanks Karena! I will definitely be posting recipes as I come across them!
Congrats on the weight loss!
