My Journey with the Sisterhood: One Year Later

It has officially one year since I began my weight loss journey with the Sisterhood. This picture from last Christmas Eve was the last straw:

Last Christmas Eve - Before

Shortly after, I signed up for my first challenge and the rest was history. It has been a tough road and many times I have wanted to throw in the towel. There have been tears, frustrations, and binges along the way but I am so glad that I stuck with it because here I am one year and six challenges later, I am at my goal weight and holding steady!!!

Can you see the difference?

after

I felt proud to take this picture! It was so nice opening a pair of pants as a gift and knowing that I would have to take them back because they were too big (whereas last year I praying that the button would stay closed). Thanks to the Sisterhood, I have lost 39.4lbs and dropped 4 dress sizes (went from busting out of a 12 to a 4/6!) but more importantly I learned to love myself! Body issues and all! I made a pledge to myself and I also exposed myself for the whole blog world to see.

All in all, it has been a total makeover. I have not only changed physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually as well. If you are wanting to start a similar journey, I suggest you head straight over to the Sisterhood! A new challenge is starting off on Wednesday and there is still time to register! What a perfect way to start the new year! To join is free, so what do you have to lose beside pounds, bad habits, and emotional baggage that is weighing you down? The new challenge is called the Power of One and will focus on getting your mind, body and soul in the right place in the new year.

Thanks Kirsten! I could have never done it without the support of the Sisterhood and the awesome community that I am lucky to have become a part of! I definitely don’t plan on going anywhere 🙂
