Spring Into 2 Action Check-in #1

Spring In2 Action

It’s that time of the week to jump on the scales. Well, I’ll be honest. I didn’t jump. I tip-toed to the scales. I was a little hesitant as its my first time checking in for a challenge in a while.

But here was the result: 132.2! So I’m down 1.2lbs from last week! Still over my comfort zone but I feel a lot better seeing a smaller number after seeing them creep up over the last 3 months.

The Hundred Pushup challenge is definitely keeping me challenged that’s for sure! I’m doing girly push-ups but that’s better than no push-ups at all! My max set for the first week is 41. Didn’t get in as many as I’d hoped but I will definitely do better this coming week!

For Lent, my husband and I have decided to give up fast food. I’ve never really celebrated Lent before (its never been a big part of Baptist tradition as far as giving anything up – you know we Baptists like to eat) but both of us felt the tug to do it this year so starting today no more fast food until April 24th! I’m hoping by then we will be so used to not eating it that we will just stick with the plan. So I’ve got a lot of meal planning to do! My crock pot is going to be my best friend next 40 days! So if you have yummy and healthy crock pot recipes that you would like to share, send them my way!

I haven’t started reading my book yet but hopefully things will calm down at home so I can get that started! I’m so looking forward to it!

Sisterhood of Shrinking Jeans: Spring in 2 Action Kick-Off!

Spring In2 Action It’s time to get off my keyster and get into gear! Warm weather is right around the corner and I want to be ready! The cool thing about this new Sisterhood of Shrinking Jeans challenge is that we have a partner! Loving having the buddy-system! My partner is the awesome Andrea from The Love Bug Adventures (so be sure and check her out!) and we are the Pink Ladies! Woot!

More than anything during this challenge, I want to get a healthy mindset on health & my relationship with food. I either obsess overĀ  numbers or let myself completely go but then feel guilty and ashamed and I know that its not a healthy mindset. After reading tons of reviews, I’ve ordered Intuitive Eating which should be here tomorrow so I’m looking forward to reading it! I don’t want to live the rest of my life on a diet but instead what to have a healthy perspective on eating and what I’m putting into my body.

In addition to getting a healthy mindset on eating, I’m definitely ready to pick up the pace exercise-wise! I definitely wouldn’t say I’m pain-free by any means but I am feeling better than I have in a long time (when I remember to take my meds! Oops). My chiropractic visits have made a HUGE difference with my SI joint issues so I’m ready to start pounding the pavement! Plus we are doing the hundred push-up challenge so I’m pretty excited about that!

So here is my info for my initial check-in for the Spring in 2 Action challenge:

Starting Weight: 133.4

Goal Weight: 128

Measurements: will add tonight after work

Initial Push-up Test Results: 12
