Sadly, I’ve only got one outfit to link up this week. I’ve been slightly distracted! You’ve seen the top before here and I was really unsure if I liked the way it looked on but after receiving some positive feedback I decided to give it another whirl but this time paired it with more fitted jeans versus wide leg and I definitely like this look better though I’m not sure about the fading on the jeans:

what I wore wednesday

shirt: Old Navy

jeans: Maurices

sandals: Teva

Necklace: Wal-Mart

Hot red bracelet: Hospital πŸ™‚

I think I agree about the fading on the jeans. Maybe a solid color jeans instead. And I’m wondering about a shorter necklace that doesn’t come down as far as the collar of the shirt. You are beautiful no matter what you wear! <3

I like the shirt, and I like it with jeans, but I agree that a more solid color might look good. Love the shirt on you though.

I definitely like the fitted jeans better. They make the shirt seem more polished & less sloppy, but I think it looks good on you in both photos.

The color of this necklace is great, but I wish it was either a lot longer, or shorter so it doesn’t overlap the neckline of the shirt. I’m a fan of shorter necklaces that lay above the neckline or long ones that overlap, but don’t interfere with the neckline of a shirt. I think it makes for a better proportion this way. Does any of that make sense?

Good luck with your surgery. I’ll be thinking of you!

I agree with the necklace length, its a little awkward with various necklines (maybe that’s what I get for shopping at Wal-mart…LOL). I’d definitely on the lookout for both a longer and a shorter version! I am loving the color! Thanks for the well-wishes!

I think you look great! That shirt is adorable. I’m totally into the ruffles/ details like on your shirt lately. I’m a big jewelry fan, too. Have you considered or do you have anything that’s sort of a gold tone, long necklace? I have one that would look SO GOOD with that shirt! It’s new, to me at least, I bought it at a yard sale πŸ™‚

I def think it would look better with a longer necklace! I need to keep my eyes open for one! I’d love to find a long antique brass key necklace like I’ve been seeing online!

Cute top! I saw a similar one from “Yummy Tummy” (I think that is the name) which I am thinking about getting, cause it also has control top. It’s a bit pricy, but if it looks half as cute as yours, it’s worth it! Garnet Hill also has cute ruffled tops, great when on sale. Another idea is larger earrings to draw attention to your face (when you aren’t wearing the pretty necklace). And I think the jeans are flattering! I’m going to have to plan a trip to Maurice’s now, never been there….

I really like that top, I think it looks gorgeous on you! It’s something I would wear. I think earrings would probably work better too- the necklace is great but it just draws too much attention, if you know what I mean? Or I’d go for a longer thinner necklace. I quite like the jeans.

This looks fun. I think I might give this a go and link up at some stage too! πŸ™‚
