What I Wore Wednesday #2

Its time for another edition of What I Wore Wednesday & I’m linking up with Lauren at The Pleated Poppy!

So here is my first shot at showing you my outfits from the week! I didn’t get every day but enough for you to get the picture! I learned quickly that it is best to take the picture early in the day for two reasons: 1) I often look ragged by 5pm and 2) I will learn that my choice is not exactly figure flattering before wearing it all day! I’ve tried to be very conscious to accessorize! Here we go!

Outfit #1:

This is the outfit that taught me the above lesson (I look pretty run down & my hair is flat as a pancake)! I thought I looked really cute but I don’t think the top does much for my figure.

Shirt: Old Navy

Tank: Target

Trouser Jeans: Old Navy

Necklace: Maurices

Outfit #2:

I felt much better in this outfit! Its simple but I still felt put together!

Shirt & Tank: Old Navy

Jeans: Maurices

Sandals: Lulu’s

Necklace: Brumby’s on Etsy

Outfit #3:

I was feeling pretty bad but still wanted to get out of the house for a bit! We did a Wal-Mart run to pick out Abby’s first tricycle!

Shirt & Tank: Old Navy

Shorts: Old Navy

Necklace: Wal-mart

Shoes: Lulu’s

Lessons for the week: Accessories can totally make an outfit & when my hair is this short, I need my flat iron!

I actually love the first look. Very feminine yet casual. You look stunning. All the looks are great. Simple yet very chic. Good job, girl. I am in sweats, fluffy socks and a racer back tee at the moment, with awful hair and a tea tree oil face mask. Student life! lol.

Spoonie life usually has me in a similar getup! Since surgery is coming in a couple weeks, I’m going to try to enjoy looking put together while I can before I have to resort to mumu’s 🙂

Love the second look. Very clean and flattering. Amazing how a simple white tee pops with the tank and yellow necklace!

Thanks Amber! I think I would live in white tees if I could. Oh wait, I have a toddler – that’s not smart 🙂 LOL.

  3. Cute outfits! Love the first top and your necklaces are great. I have one just like your turquoise one but it is from Forever 21. Visiting from The Pleated Poppy!

Thanks for visiting Mandy! Turquoise is definitely one of my new favorite colors for accessories! Something about it feel so summery!

1: You’re totally right about the accessories. 2: I like all of them & I feel like the ruffled top gives you a lot of shape, but I understand where you’re coming from. I can’t wear cute ruffled tops b/c I’m all boobs & it makes the ruffle lay wrong.

Thanks for the compliments! I’m not sure what it is about looking at myself in the ruffled shirt. Maybe its the way I’m standing. I hate being my own worst critic!

I think you look great in them all, but isn’t it funny how sometimes it takes looking at ourselves in a picture to make us re-think our outfits? It happens to me all the time.

Thanks! Since starting WIWW I finally invested in a full length mirror for that exact purpose 🙂

Cute outfits! I like the top in the first outfit, and you look very put together in all of them. Look #2 is what I usually look like when I ‘dress up’ 🙂

Outfit #2 is my standard for dressing up or feeling put together too! I’m ok with that! I just wish I could force myself to do that every day! Or that work would allow me to dress like that every day!

I have to say I love your outfit #1 and think you look great. #2 is awesome and definitely put-together. In fact, I’m SO going to copy it! I went to LuLu and Brumby’s Etsy shop to pick up these items for myself. I hope you don’t mind – I don’t think we’ll be running in to each other!!! 😉

You have inspired me to get myself put together a little more often. I work from home so I don’t have to dress up for work anymore, but I think I would feel better if I wore something instead of my standard yoga pants and tee! And accesorize!

Great post! And now following via GFC, Twitter and Facebook.

Copy away! I’m totally flattered! If I would wear jeans & a put together tee w/ some cute accessories every day I would!

  11. […] I will admit that I am the tiniest bit jealous (even though I have plans to attend BBC & Type A next year).  Who wouldn’t want to experience 3 days of networking, discussion, and fun with 3000 of your best blogging friends? Thankfully I’m not the only one a little green with envy and yearning for some time to network, learn, and grow as a blogger. Liz from A Belle, A Bean, & A Chicago Dog and Jessica from Four Plus An Angel teamed up to create the Summer Blog Social! This event will run all week and will allow bloggers to link up posts that will cover topics like blogging resources, blog design, and creating blogging goals as well as help make networking a little easier – all from the comfort of our pajamas – oh wait I’m trying to break that habit.
