Ok – I’m a little late getting started on Christmas cards but it’s better late than never right?
I was never a big fan on Christmas cards because after Christmas what are you suppose to do with them? Save them? Trash them? Then came the photo card. I LOVE photo Christmas cards! Especially if they contain babies or dogs in reindeer antlers. Ok – adults in reindeer antlers are cool too! But it is so much fun seeing how families grow and change from year to year so we have made it a family tradition to do a photo card every year since we got married. Even though it takes me forever to pick out a design! Onto this year . . .
This year we’ve decided to use Shutterfly.com because I need help fast and you just cannot beat their selection. Their 2010 holiday collection is AMAZING – and includes so much more than cards! They also have Christmas photo gifts such as calendars and ornaments! I have no idea how I will choose a design. Oh wait! Yes I do! You can help me!

At my house, we throw away the signed cards but keep the photos and letters. The photos eventually get into a scrapbook where you can look at people grow over the years.

I totally agree with you about photo cards – I love getting them and we send a LOT out, too. I get ours from Snapfish ever year, plus photo calendars, ornaments, mugs, and other gifts. I also use Snapfish to make my boys mini photo books with the highlights of the year. I love their stuff.

P.S. I ordered my cards back in mid-November and had them here before Thanksgiving….but I haven’t even started sending them out yet! I still need to update the address list first…
