Blogging for Endometriosis: Week 4 Giveaways!

Just because it is our last week doesn’t mean the giveaways are over! Not only do we have two more amazing sponsors to feature this week but we have a killer giveaway planned to wrap things up!

Let me first congratulation our winners from the Week 3 giveaways – Cheryl, Jenny, and Tori! You should have received an email from me!

Now only our week 4 sponsors:

Mommy-operated Handmade Business

Our first sponsor is 5 Little Elephants! I had the blessing of meeting Christa, who is a fellow endosister, through an online infertility support group and while I hate that either of us had to experience IF, I am thankful that God allowed our paths to cross! 5 Little Elephants is a mommy-owned business that opened almost 2 years ago and has really blossomed so much in that time! We offer girls and boys clothing from preemie- girls/boys sizes and we are working on starting a womans line. When I asked Christa if she would be interested in participating in the Blogging for Endometriosis campaign, she happily said yes and when I asked her why it was important to get involved in endometriosis awareness she said, “I’ve decided to get involved in Endo awareness almost immediately after diagnosis because I found out how little there is known about the disease and how debilitating it can be. We had to fight to have all three of our children because of endo and I fight everyday with the pain from it. If I can make a different in just one persons life by informing them about this horrible disease, than I have done my job.”

Handmade Pillowcase Dress

One lucky reader will win this adorable handmade pillowcase dress in this festive spring fabric up to a size 7/8 (US residents only)!

Our second sponsor for the week is Stamp Magic! Stamp Magic  specializes in quality, handmade greeting cards and paper-crafted gifts including custom designs! Here is a peak of some of her beautiful handiwork:

Custom Handmade Greeting Cards and Invitations

One lucky winner will receive a stationary set designed by Stamp Magic especially for the Blogging for Endometriosis campaign!

To enter this weeks’ giveaway, simply leave a comment sharing your favorite online resource for encouragement or support for living with endometriosis and/or other chronic illnesses!

That’s it! 2 winners will be drawn next Monday! Be sure to stop by all of the sponsors’ shops and give them a big thank you! I continue to be amazed by the outpouring of support for this awareness campaign!

My favourite online resource for support is definitely Endohope (http://endohope.org/). Michelle (the blogger) is the most positive and practical endosister I have come across. Her posts are clear and concise, and you leave more informed with her practical advice. I have sent her posts to friends and family when I am at a loss in explaining things about endometriosis to them.

i’ll put the Endo Sisters group on FB as my top endo site. it intimidated me at first but you really can just jump on in (once you’ve gotten an “invite” which a member can help you with). sometimes you may need to repost a question if things are really busy. becuae it is a CLOSED group, you can ask that question you’ve bee too-scared to ask anyone else (it does NOT appear on any news feeds etc., maybe even nervous tellling the doc (ex. for a bit, i felt “leaky” all say…not period blood, not pee, just “wet”….it went away in a day or two, but asking and hearng I was NOT the only one who ever experienced it really helped. of course, the true medical sites are key too, but for me there;s nothing like hearing “i’ve gone through that too”

p.s. i didn’t notice that it was a week3 giveaway announcement…please don’t count this as an entry if there are other entries from folks who haven’t been lucky already. i would not be able to make use of the pillowcase dress (even though it is adorable!). i will, however, flag the stationery site since i’ll need some in coming months and love to patronize a good company!

One of the best resource for support and encouragement is http://endohope.org 🙂 and of course, http://www.anewkindofnormal.com! More power to your blogs!!! 😀
