Wednesday Weigh-in: Shrinkvivor Week #7

Shrinkvivor Challenge at the Sisterhood!I cannot believe its week 7!  It is the final weigh-in before the final 7 are selected and the voting begins for the Ultimate Shrinkvivor!  YIKES!  This challenge has flown by! I cannot believe that I have made it this far.

This post is going to be short and sweet.  I’m actually home from work today due to pain.  It takes a lot for me to call in.  At this point if I could cut off everything from the belly button down, I would.  So I’m finally going to make the call to get referred to the pain clinic.  Whether we choose the nerve block or another treatment, I need pain relief.  I can’t do this.

So onto the reporting! As usual, we had two challenges again this week – one physical and the other non-physical. The physical challenges are what count towards team immunity. This week’s physical challenge was to count your miles. I got in 3 miles before the flare hit.  Better than the past several weeks!

The non-physical challenge was to read labels for trans fats.  The one positive thing that Celiac disease has done for me is that it has taught me to read labels with a magnifying glass.  I don’t buy anything without reading the label.  Not only do I check for gluten, but I also look for trans fat, fiber, and protein.

So now onto the scale . . . This morning the scale said: 126.8. So I had a gain of .4lbs.  I really hope it doesn’t kick me to Exile but if it does I am ok with that.  I am not going to beat myself up over .4lbs.  It will come off next week.  My success in Shrinkvivor is more than the number on the scale.

So here are my stats:

Starting weight: 164.4

Challenge Starting Weight: 133.4

Challenge Goal Weight (11/2): 128

Last week’s weigh-in: 126.4
Today’s weigh-in: 126.8
Change: +0.4

Overall Change: -37.6

Challenge Change: -6.6

ETA: I was starting to get really anxious and almost depressed about the pending Tribal Council and started doing some calculated.  With the help of this great calculator, I discovered that during the last 7 weeks, Shrinkvivor has helped me lose 4.95% of my body weight and the Sisterhood has helped me lose 22.87% of my body weight since January!  I seriously have lost almost a quarter of my body weight in less than a year!  Total awesomesauce! Talk about a change in perspective! And it totally kept me out of the ice cream tonight 🙂

And Pain Clinic appointment is set for Nov 22nd! So let the countdown begin!

Oh Jamee, so sorry you are hurting so much. Yes, yes, yes call the pain clinic – Pain clinics have so many options and my prayer is that you will find the right thing to give you some extended relief. Pain is a tough battle, but I know so many people who have been able to find the right treatment.

YOU are so awesome and you have done such a great job throughout this challenge. You truly inspire me!

Dealing with pain is so hard…and when it is chronic that makes it even more difficult but look at what you have accomplished all while dealing with the pain. You have lost over 6 pounds during this challenge! Great job!
