30 Day Blog Challenge – Day 9: A photo of the latest item you’ve purchased.
Ok, not a totally exciting topic to post about but some days its ok to be a little boring π
It is actually not working out too bad since this item was asked about when it made an appearance on day2! My latest purchase was to refill my freezer with my favorite bread – Rudi’s Gluten-Free Cinnamon Raisin Bread!
Its a little pricey at around $5 a loaf but of all the gluten-free breads I have tried, this is by far my favorite and since bread is the only thing we don’t share at home, it is worth it. Everything this else is typically gluten-free, as in, we don’t keep both wheat pasta and rice pasta – we just use rice pasta to avoid contamination issues.
What was your last purchase?? Please let it be more exciting than raisin bread π
Yummy! I’m coming to your house for afternoon snack. π
Come over! I’ve got plenty to share π
Your purchase is more exciting than mine. See my post for details.
Actually I’ve been craving cinnamon. I had gluten free Cinnamon Chex and cinnamon graham grackers for lunch today, but what I would really like to have is some of the homemade cinnamon rolls my Grannie made when we were younger. She’s in heaven now. You can see her picture on dream wedding day.
I love the Cinnamon Chex! Yum! I’m still on the lookout for a good gluten-free cinnamon roll recipe!
oops – that’s crackers, not grackers LOL!
Yummmm(: I’m gluten free too and my mom and I picked up some cinnamon raisin bread the other day. One of the best things I’ve had since I went gf. It definitely makes for a comforting snack. π
I totally did a happy dance in the freezer aisle when I found it! That and King Arthur’s Gluten-Free Chocolate Cupcake mix which I think is pretty much heaven on earth π
I found gluten free oreos (off-brand) yesterday and I definitely did a little bit of a happy dance. Of course, you’re always a little cautious when you try something like that for the first time. Some gluten free stuff is just…. well… ick. lol but these are sooooo good!
I’ll have to look into the cupcake mix. Have you tried the Bob’s Red Mill GF Brownie Mix? I think like them better than normal brownies! Especially when they’re still warm out of the oven…. yummmmmm. π
Now I’m drooling over brownies! YUM! And gluten-free wanna-be-oreos? I need to find some like yesterday!
Mmmm, carbs! LOL
I was just wondering the other day actually, about both CC and you — are y’all the gluten-free ones, or is it your DHs and/or DDs?
In our house, I am the only one with Celiac disease. Abby has been checked for food allergies but tests came back normal. Its just easier for us all to eat the majority of our meals gluten-free to avoid contamination but there are foods with gluten in our house. I just try to minimize handling them. We also keep separate toasters (one for GF bread and one for regular) as well as separate peanut butter jars. We try to only buy condiments (like mayo or mustard) in squeeze jars to avoid having to have 2 of everything as once a knife that has touched regular bread goes back in the jar, I can no longer use it!
I’ve never had gluten free bread of any kind, I’d like to try it though I think. π
My last purchase was a lottery ticket at work today. Our office pools together every week to play one of the big drawings.
