Words cannot express how much my life has been touched by the power of social media to connect me with so many awesome people though the blogosphere and twitter. I have been involved in online support groups for chronic illness as well as groups that have helped kick my butt into gear to make better choices for my health through diet and exercise.
So as I laid in bed last night, I was thinking how great it would be to combine the two by having a link up one day a week, like on Wednesdays, where we can check in with each other on how we are doing. It would be a more holistic approach to checking in by checking in how we are feeling physically, emotionally/mentally, and spiritually. We can each set goals for ourselves for each category, such as cutting out soda to help our physical health and begin reading a devotional book for our spiritual health. We can be a support for one another knowing that flares or hurdles may happen but also give a word of encouragement (or a little push) when needed.
So here’s my question – would anyone be interested in forming a little group to do this? If so, what would be a good check-in day for you? Also, what can we call it?
I think this sounds amazing! Wednesday or Thursday would be best for me. Not sure about a name. Let me think on it a bit. 🙂
I’m not a great “ideas” person but I would definitely join in. 🙂 But y’all always come up with cute stuff so I’ll just leave it to ya both. 😉
Thanks Shari! I’ve come up with some ideas so hopefully I’ve have some more info out next week!
I’d definitely be into this!!
Thanks Jane!
I LOVE this idea. I have not been so lucky in finding many people who can relate to me and would love a way of keeping us tied together regularly. I’m trying to think of a catchy name. But my endo brain isn’t coming up with much. I was thinking of an acronym like “Tag Time”
The
Accountability
Gals
Anyhow. I’m off to try for some sleep. 😉
Thanks Diane! I will have more info out by next week!
Great idea!
Thanks Casey! More info is on the way!
What a great way to reach out to your social media friends.
