30 Day Blog Challenge – Day 7: Your Dream Wedding
Maybe its cheesy of me but when as to describe my dream wedding I would have to say my dreams came true on May 21, 2005 as it was the day I married my best friend and it was all I could dream of and more!

Maybe its hokey of me but I loved everything about our wedding. We put a lot of thought and time into planning every aspect of the ceremony so that it exemplified who we are as a couple and more importantly how our faith would impact our marriage. We wanted our commitment to our marriage to be the focus not just having a pretty wedding.
However, if I had to pick out three things I would change would be these: 1- I would have practiced going up and down stairs in my dress, 2- The cake would have looked different (the cake tasted AMAZING – we alternated chocolate and traditional cake but it had white chocolate frosting – YUM) as it didn’t turn out like I requested as was kinda gaudy, and 3- we would have packed a to-go box! Every one said that the food was amazing but we didn’t get a chance to eat any of it as we wanted to spend as much time with our guests as possible!

There is so much I would have changed about my wedding.
But none of it matters because I did what I set out to do – I married my best friend and soul mate. That was the point, that was my goal, that is what mattered at the end of the day. The rest? That was just gravy. Expensive gravy.
yes and no. There were many factors I loved but I really compromised a lot as my husband was very opinionated and we chose to cut the budget way down so we could spend more on the new (to us) house. I would change the venue, my dress, and the cake. We got married outside at our home around the pool, I had a coffee colored and cream dress that was more renaissance than traditional and I didn’t feel like a princess at all, and we had seperated tiers of different cheesecakes instead of traditional cake. I would have changed photographers. She spent so much time on the costumes of our guests etc that we have very few posed photos and none of just me in my dress and only one of me and him. It makes me sad.
Everyone loved our wedding and still talk about it but I wish we had gone more traditional.
