Spring in 2 Action Week #4

Spring In2 Action

It hasn’t really been a good week for me health-wise. I’ve been plagued with migraines and fatigue since Sunday. I’ve lived off of Kix cereal the last two days because of nausea. In the last 5 days, we have had only 1 day of sunshine. Today its raining buckets which is leaving my joints longing for my bed and a heating pad. Hubs is worried but sadly I think its just a part of life that I’ve got to learn to deal with. I just wish it didn’t include having to lay down every evening at 7pm.

The good news is that I posted a loss this week! Not a big loss but I’ll take what I can get. I’m down to 133.5 which puts me right back where I started. It definitely could have something to do with living off Kix the last couple days but I’m just going to take it as a loss and enjoy it. I’ve been trying to make better decisions and listen to my body for when I am actually hungry versus just in the mood to eat so hopefully that will lead to more loss in the future.

Challenge Stats:

Starting Weight: 133.4

Goal Weight: 128

Current Weight: 133.5

Change: +0.1

Girls’ Night Out: Spoonie Edition

Last Thursday, Mamie and I had decided that it was high time for us to have a GNO (girls’ night out) and headed to the Queen City! She had discovered that Clinton Kelly (from TLC’s What Not to Wear) was going to be at Macy’s in Southpark so we headed out for an evening of fun and hopefully some fashion advice!

Sadly, there must have been some avid fans that camped out ALL afternoon in line because by the time we got there (at the event start time) the line was already long and they only guaranteed the first 50 in line a chance to talk to Clinton one on one (don’t think that part was advertised). We hung out in line anyway and chatted about clothes, family, and Disney. We chatted up people around us in line. It was a fun time! We saw some cute clothes and I was reminded why I don’t shop at Macy’s (too poor! lol). But we were able to get some good pictures anyways:

This was as close as we got but at least we got to see him in the flesh!

He does talk with his hands as much in person as he does on the show!

Don’t know why this one turned out so blurry!

After hanging out at Macy’s for awhile, we headed to P.F. Changs! I had never been there before but had heard wonderful things! I was never a big Chinese eater but really missed it once going gluten-free so to hear that they have a WHOLE page dedicated to gluten-free items was awesome (even dessert!) so it took me awhile to figure out what to order! We started with the lettuce wraps:

I then had the Spicy Chicken and rice (which was the GF version of General Tso’s Chicken) and it was so good! They give you a ton too! Both John & I had the leftovers for dinner the next night so while the entrees are pricey, they give you PLENTY of food! I was so stuffed that I didn’t get to try the GF dessert but next time, I will definitely save room!

We had an amazing time! It was nice to get out of the house child-free and enjoy a night out with a girlfriend! Next time, we’re seeking out this Fuel Pizza for some gluten-free pizza!
