I’m kicking off summer by not weighing in! Just because I’m on vacation and don’t have access to a scale! So I will stick with last week’s weigh-in of 146.6 to start the challenge! That’s right…there is a new challenge over at the Sisterhood! And believe me, you don’t want to miss this! It is an 8 week challenge that will include weekly mini-challenges! Exercise-wise for the week, I haven’t made it to the fitness room here at the resort (for one I haven’t been able to find it!) but we have done a lot of walking! And chasing a 1 year old 24/7 should count for something! But we are having a blast! My diet has been good and I haven’t done my typical vacation-binge (of course if I hadn’t been diagnosed Celiac then that probably would not be the case!). I have been reading G-Free Diet by Elizabeth Hasselbeck and it has been awesome! I will be posting a review as soon as I’m finished! Believe me, it is packed with so much good info!

I have not dropped off the planet but instead am on vacation relaxing (as much as possible with a 1 year old) at the beach! I will be back at regular schedule posting next week!
I was super-duper excited to find gluten-free meal bars as I often eat on the run and meal bars are great when my main purpose in eating is only to take my meds. Meal bars provide just enough sustenance to keep the meds down and the nausea from getting worse. So I snapped up a couple of the ThinkThin meal bars in Chocolate Fudge.
My review is that the bars are decent considering they are a diet meal replacement bar. I definitely could not eat them every day but every once in a while they are tolerable. They just have the same “diet chocolate” taste that every other type of diet meal bar out there. So its not a problem unique to this particular bar. On a scale of 1-10 I would give these a 6. I have not tried the other flavors however (such as Chunky Peanut Butter bars or Brownie Crunch bars which may be more appealing to have a crunch).
All in all, these are great to keep on hand in case you need something light to eat while you are on the run (or can’t stomach anything else). I will probably buy these again, especially if I can find the Brownie Crunch flavor to try out!
