The past week has been pretty ho-hum. I’ve been hurting pretty bad so I haven’t been as with it as I would like to be. Plus fall officially hit and the cold evening temperatures took a toll on my joints!
As usual, we had two challenges again this week – one physical and the other non-physical. The physical challenges are what count towards team immunity. This week’s physical challenge was to record your fastest mile either walking or running. Monday I laid it all out there and went for it. I did a walk/run combo and finished with the time of 11:30! I’m definitely not going to complain on that one!
The non-physical challenge was to eat 5 servings of fruit and veggies a day. I stunk this challenge up. When I’m in a flare, I’m lucky to force myself to eat anything so I stuck with foods that I knew I could keep down. So two thumbs down on this challenge. We were suppose to keep up drinking our water and continue to avoid fast food (which I had twice–oops).
Overall, I wasn’t too worried about hopping on the scales. I know that the closer I get to my goal weight, the harder its going to be to drop big numbers eat week. I had my appointment with my rheumotologist yesterday and he was completely floored that I had lost 35 lbs since my last visit! So I had a little hint that I finally earned my new badge yesterday! We changed up my meds (which hopefully will not hinder further weight loss or add weight back) so hopefully flare relief is right around the corner!
I completely forgot to take a picture this morning as I was in a hurry so here is my number: 129.2! I can’t believe it! I’m in the 120s!!!!! So I had a loss of 0.8 lbs! I’m only 1.2 lbs away from my challenge goal!
So here are my stats:
Starting weight: 164.4
Challenge Starting Weight: 133.4
Challenge Goal Weight (11/2): 128
Last week’s weigh-in: 130.0
Today’s weigh-in: 129.2
Change: -0.8
Overall Change: -35.2
Challenge Change: -4.2
