I am ashamed to post this check-in. I had absolutely no power this past week. Its honestly awful. And today’s weigh-in was definitely a wake up call. I am up to 128.4. That is a gain of 2.2 lbs! Completely unacceptable. I am now out of my comfort range. And the fact that my body fat is 29% is yuck. It shows that you can be within a healthy weight range and still be unhealthy. The healthy range for body fat percentage is 22-33% so while I am in the range I am at the upper end of the range and I’m not comfortable with that.
So I definitely got a kick in the butt this morning to get in gear or I can kiss the 120s goodbye!
So here is my goal rundown (I couldn’t do my measurements this morning because it seems Abby stole my tape measure):
Here are my goals for the challenge:
- Hit the gym on my lunch break at least 3 days a week. Have been out of work due to Abby being sick and snow but my gym bag is packed for today!
- Remove all soda from my diet instead replacing it with water and other healthy drinks. Complete crap. I need to tell Hubs to quit buying it all together.
- Prepare dinner at home at least 4 nights a week, trying a new recipe at least once. Score!!! Tried two new recipes (beef brisket and vegetable soup) Both were good but need a little tweaking next time around! Planning on this week’s menu tonight!
- Lose at least 5 inches overall throughout the course of the challenge. TBD
I think that you are doing great! I love your attitude and how you know things next week will be different.
Thanks Trish! It is taking everything I can muster to stay positive!
Stay positive and please don’t ever be ashamed to post a weigh in we have all been there before!
I am glad you have a plan and are ready to get back on track!
I know you will have a great week!
Thanks Colleen! The encouraging comments have been helpful!
You will get this! Great job on the menu planning – that is where I have the best of intentions but it usually all goes to pot!
Thanks Bari!
My hubby drinks pop, so it makes it hard. I just keep telling myself that the pop is nothing but chemical!
Don’t stop! Like I said yesterday on twitter – you are one good decision away from jumping back on the wagon! You can do it!
Thanks Pam!!!
Menu planning often makes all the difference in maintaining motivation — boy, that was a mouthful of M’s. But you know…its just true.
This I am definitely learning! I haven’t been as diligent in planning week and at dinnertime it definitely shows!
Great job with the new recipes… and for just making it through a challenging week. Hang in there. This week will be better!
