Wednesday Check-in: Power of One #3

Power of One ChallengeI am ashamed to post this check-in. I had absolutely no power this past week. Its honestly awful. And today’s weigh-in was definitely a wake up call.  I am up to 128.4.  That is a gain of 2.2 lbs!  Completely unacceptable. I am now out of my comfort range. And the fact that my body fat is 29% is yuck. It shows that you can be within a healthy weight range and still be unhealthy. The healthy range for body fat percentage is 22-33% so while I am in the range I am at the upper end of the range and I’m not comfortable with that.

So I definitely got a kick in the butt this morning to get in gear or I can kiss the 120s goodbye!

So here is my goal rundown (I couldn’t do my measurements this morning because it seems Abby stole my tape measure):

Here are my goals for the challenge:

  1. Hit the gym on my lunch break at least 3 days a week. Have been out of work due to Abby being sick and snow but my gym bag is packed for today!
  2. Remove all soda from my diet instead replacing it with water and other healthy drinks. Complete crap. I need to tell Hubs to quit buying it all together.
  3. Prepare dinner at home at least 4 nights a week, trying a new recipe at least once. Score!!! Tried two new recipes (beef brisket and vegetable soup) Both were good but need a little tweaking next time around! Planning on this week’s menu tonight!
  4. Lose at least 5 inches overall throughout the course of the challenge. TBD

You will get this! Great job on the menu planning – that is where I have the best of intentions but it usually all goes to pot!

  4. My hubby drinks pop, so it makes it hard. I just keep telling myself that the pop is nothing but chemical!

Don’t stop! Like I said yesterday on twitter – you are one good decision away from jumping back on the wagon! You can do it!

Menu planning often makes all the difference in maintaining motivation — boy, that was a mouthful of M’s. But you know…its just true.

This I am definitely learning! I haven’t been as diligent in planning week and at dinnertime it definitely shows!
