Simone France Review & GIVEAWAY! *Closed*

Last year, I had the chance to review the Simone France skincare line and I am glad to share that I am still using all of the skincare products and still just as thrilled with the results!

Simone France has just rolled out a new website which includes their Skin Diagnosis Tool which gives you an in-depth skin analysis in an instant! This tool helps specialize product recommendations specifically for your skin type!

In celebration of the kick-off, Simone France has offered to a giveaway of their new Body Duo (body lotion and scrub) to one lucky reader!

Body Lotion and Body Scrub by Simone France

I had the chance to preview these products and they hold true to the standard of all of the previous products I have had the chance to try! The body lotion leaves your skin very soft without a heavy fragrance which I love so I don’t feel like my perfume is competing! The body scrub also does a great job of leaving your skin silky smooth without being too harsh or irritating on sensitive skin (fibromyalgia often leaves my skin hypersensitive so I often have a hard time finding a product that isn’t too harsh). I love using the scrub before shaving my legs to get them extra smooth! You know, the one time I shave a month during cold months (just kidding…kinda). I give two thumbs up!

Now it is your turn to try them out!

To enter, leave a comment telling me your favorite way to pamper your skin! That’s it! For a bonus entry, tweet about this giveaway and leave a separate comment telling me  you did! The winner will be drawn Thursday, November 15th!

Sharing Our Spoons Kickoff! *Closed*

The day is finally here to kick off the new Sharing Our Spoons campaign! You may have read some of the background on the Sharing Our Spoons page but in case you missed it, the idea for this campaign came to me after I noticed just how important the online community has been for fighting my illnesses as well as for health/weight-loss. I wanted to see what would happen if we combined the two and after getting come feedback, Sharing Our Spoons was born!

“Sharing Our Spoons” will be a weekly link-up where you are able to find support and encouragement to focus on your entire health. Not just physical but all of you. For this link-up you will be able to choose holistic goals to help you achieve optimal health. The five goals include:

  1. Physical: could be weight loss or exercise related or it could be goals like eating more veggies or cutting soda
  2. Mental/Emotional: take a day to be alone, write a letter, paint, etc
  3. Spiritual: start a new devotional book, commit a certain amount of time a day for prayer/meditation
  4. Something fun: Take time to treat yourself – maybe a pedicure or Starbucks (if you don’t typically splurge for specialty coffee)
  5. BONUS: One thing to get you out of your comfort zone a week – try something new, sign up for a class you maybe have been putting off.

Get your thinking caps on to select what your first set of goals will be & you can share next week for our first official link-up!

In the meantime, add your blog url to the link up list so we can pay each other a visit this week!

Shaklee Go Clean Review & Giveaway!

Anyone else getting the itch to do some spring cleaning? There is something about the warmer weather that makes me want to open all the windows and clear the clutter. I would probably have the house completely reorganized if I had the available spoons! Instead I am looking for energy-saving and cost-saving ways to get things cleaned & organized!

As a spoonie and a mom, not only am I concerned about performance and cost of products but I am also concerned about the chemicals in products. The jury is still undecided on how big of a role, if any, chemicals and toxins play in chronic illness. I have tried difference eco-friendly products on the market but never had any really good results so I’ve stuck with mainline products. This is a picture of what was under my sink:

Before look at cleaning products

I pretty much have at least 2 products that I use per room in our house. As a part of my job, I have had to sit through Haz-Mat sessions and learned about various chemicals and their dangers so I definitely was uneasy knowing some of those chemicals are in my household cleaners as well. Especially now that Abby is extremely mobile and extremely curious about trying anything and everything new.

I was very excited to try the Shaklee Go Clean line of products in our house! Knowing that the dangerous chemicals were out of my house definitely helped me breathe a sigh of relief. I also loved seeing how few products I needed in comparison. In addition of not having the nasty chemicals, by reusing product bottles you are saving space in the landfill and eliminating 248 pounds of greenhouse gas with just one kit! I definitely loved the new replacements:

Eco-Friendly Cleaning Productts
Of course, the next big question was how the products worked and I can honestly say the answer is great! I don’t feel like I have to use any more product to make up for the missing chemicals (which I have found with other “green” brands in the past). I have used every product at least once and I am very satisfied with how these products have worked in our home!

Now its your turn to take Shaklee for a spin! One lucky reader will win the Shaklee Household Mini Kit to try out in their home! This giveaway is only open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. You can click here to see all giveaway rules.
