I don’t know about anyone else but starting this week, I have been in full Christmas shopping mode! I always say I am going to get started early so I don’t feel rushed but I never do! It may still seem early for some but my family is scattered which means shipping gifts so the earlier, the better for me!
Since I’ve become a parent, shopping has been a little more exciting since I get to pick out some special toys for Abby especially now that she is a little older! Our formula for Christmas shopping is typically one big gift and then some smaller gifts to go along with it. We really try to keep a balance of the true meaning of Christmas (the celebration of Christ’s birth) and the enjoyment of sharing gifts. We do not focus on Santa but we don’t totally avoid it either. We will stop for a visit at the mall if the line is short but do not talk much about him being the one to bring the gifts and place them under the tree. We love the VeggieTales St Nicolas because it gives the story behind where Santa came from and is a family favorite during the holidays!
Since we became parents and became toy connoisseurs , one of our favorite brands has been Little Tikes! In our experience, not only is the selection is great, but so is the quality and can put up with the rough and tumble of a toddler with ease.
