Day 6: Photo of an animal you’d love to have as a pet
I am definitely a dog-person through and through. I think cats are nice, too, don’t get me wrong, but at this point in life I would definitely pick a dog over a cat any day for two reasons: 1- No cat could ever be as wonderful as Thomas as we were blessed to be his family for 12 years; and 2- Charlie is pretty much perfect so it makes me like dogs even more. However as I type this I realize that if something happens to Charlie, I may no longer be a dog person either if I follow the same logic.
Anyways – let’s change the subject – if I could have any breed dog I wanted I would definitely choose one of these:

Don’t you just want to snuggle them?
viaI just love their squishy faces! I just want to hug them! A Dane would definitely be on my dream pet list.
However, unless my husband suddenly decides he likes big dogs, I’ll just have to oogle their pictures on Pinterest since it might be kinda hard to hide one

When we went to the shelter to pick out our 2nd dog, one greeted us at the door & when I petted him, John’s response was “heck no!” He’s not a fan of big dogs either! I think the thing I love about Danes is that even though they are huge, they are very loving & snuggly!
I have puppy fever so badly right now. I would pick a golden retriever every time. Love your picks too.

My sister-in-law has a great dane and I don’t love it all that much. It’s different when a small dog gets excited and jumps on you…they won’t give you a black eye!
But I had another friend who had one and he was great. I guess it’s just how well you train them!
