Another Year Older

I cannot believe that I am now 31! For some reason turning 31 was a lot harder mentally than turning 30. I guess now I am officially “in my 30s.” Last year I hoped by starting a new decade that surgeries would be behind me but unfortunately that wasn’t the case but a girl can hope that maybe the next nine years will be, right?

My birthday started off with my favorite flowers and an iced coffee from my beloved husband! My IC doesn’t really care for coffee so I don’t drink it regularly but it is a nice treat every now and then! It was a fabulous start to the day although by 11am I may or may not have been found giggling to myself at my desk from the caffeine high

The celebration continued after work with the best dinner I think I have ever eaten in my entire life! Outback is my favorite place to eat dinner out because their gluten-free selection is fabulous! I had a Caesar salad (with no croutons), a perfect filet, baked potato, and an ice cream sundae for dessert!

 

My parents, sister, and niece came to visit for the weekend so it was great watching the girls play together all weekend! It was, however, exhausting and definitely reassured me that there was no way my body could handle two kids right now! The giggles and conversations were so much fun to eavesdrop on and my heart completely overflowed as we peeked in and saw them hugging and telling each other that they were best friends! Swoon!

 

It was a really fabulous birthday weekend filled with yummy food, family, and fun and I am so incredibly blessed and filled with gratitude for all that God has blessed me with and I am looking forward to all the things He has in store for me this next year! I am borrowing an idea that I read on a blog I love this week which involved created a list of new things to try before your next birthday! Last year I created a list of 10 things I wanted to do before 30 but I think this will be another way to encourage me to try some new things and step out of my comfort zone a little more! So keep your eyes peeled for a list of 31 new things I want  to try before my next birthday to be posted this week!
