Heaven Gained An Angel

I haven’t been a good blogger this past week so I wrote out all kinds of plans for posts this weekend until we got the call this morning. It was a call we had been anticipating and were actually hoping would come sooner than later but still a difficult call nonetheless.

Hub’s grandma – my grandma for the last 10 years – went home to be with Jesus this morning. As her children sang “I’ll Fly Away” around her early this morning, she grew her wings. It is how she wanted to go. She is now singing and dancing with her Savior.

We rejoice in the 90+ years she lived on this earth and the amazing example she was to so many people. She was an amazing and strong woman of faith and she had a laugh that was contagious. I am so thankful that I have gotten the honor to know her the past 10 years and so thankful that Abby got a chance to meet her.

We also rejoice that we will see her again some day when it is our turn to get called home! We love you Grandma!

I’m sorry you lost her, but it sounds like it meant there was relief for her in passing. It’s never easy. Hugs and prayers to you, hubs, and the rest of the family.

Very sorry for your loss. I’m blessed to have my grandparents still, but my husband has lost both of his grandfathers and his great-grandmother, and it is always hard, even when rejoicing for their gain.

Not quite the weekend I’d planned

I promised I haven't fallen off the face of the planet. At moments it felt like it. But not quite....
