What I Wore Wednesday #1

If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you’ve been reading that I’m really trying to take some time to focus on myself and my style so that I can learn to be more comfortable in my own skin. Over the years, chronic illness has negatively impacted my view of myself and the phrase “my body hates me” was mentioned way too many times so I really want to change that. Letting Go was a stepping stone to embark on this new chapter. I turn 30 this year so why not kick off a new decade with a bang? I’ve changed up my hair style and am constantly on the search for style inspiration.

Several of the bloggers I follow take part in the What I Wore Wednesday link up with Lindsay over at The Pleated Poppy so I thought it would be a great boost if I knew that I would be sharing my outfits with you guys! Maybe it will spark some creativity along the way!

Just don’t expect creativity from today’s outfit! I thought I would be completely honest and show you the current norm for what I wear to work. I always say I work in a hole because I honestly don’t see that many people other than our maintenance guys during the day (my office isn’t in a high traffic area) and there are many days I end up in the floor doing phone installs but I know the change definitely needs to be for me to feel better about myself & my body. So here is today’s outfit in all its boring glory:

Shirt: Old Navy

Pants: Maurices

Shoes: Nike

no jewelry other than wedding set.

I can go no other way but up right?  Stay tuned as I embark on a new journey of style (and BTW – I’m completely open to any one of you calling Stacy & Clinton….hahaha)!

  1. I love Stacy and Clinton! I made a major change in my wardrobe one year after watching a What Not to Wear Marathon over New Years!
    Hugs!

I live with chronic illness, too, so I know what it can take some days to decide to be stylish in spite of it! Good for you!!

Great outfit. My style is casual and natural, too.

I followed you here from WIWW.

I am so happy I found your blog. While I do not talk about my own illness, I have gone past the early days where I used to cry about it and think noone would love me because of it. I love that you can blog about it. I also love that you can still take and make time to look your superstar best. I had to write a blog post just yesterday about this and I feel vindicated when I read blogs like yours. You go girl. I love the What I Wore Wednesday Challenge though these days I wear only sweats cause I am in my room doing dissertation stuff. But good luck! Keep it going. Now following your blog as well.
