I happened to be browsing the chip aisle at the convenience store across the street from my office and drooling over all of the things I could not have when I spotted a bag with “Gluten Free” and “Nut Free” across the top. Of course, that caught this Celiac’s eye since I can’t have nuts either. It was then that I discovered the Rocky Mountain Popcorn Company. I picked up a bag of the White Cheddar popcorn and headed back to the office.
Let me just tell you that this stuff is AMAZING. Seriously, it was hard not to eat the whole bag in one sitting. It had just the right amount of flavor and I know it was a much healthier snack than grabbing a bag of chips or candy. So of course after polishing off the snack, I checked out the web.
If you check out their website, you’ll see that there are many flavors to choose from and they ALL are gluten and nut free! The flavors include White Cheddar, Caramel, Kettle Corn, Jalepeno, Butter, Red Chili, and Naked.
I also liked what I read about the company’s history/mission:
Real. Honest. Popcorn!
Rocky Mountain Popcorn Company started over 20 years ago in the eastern foothills of the great Rocky Mountains near Denver, CO. Long known, and much admired, as a great local product, the company grew by reputation until 2007, when it exploded onto the national scene, bringing the bold taste of the Rockies to a nation hungry for wholesome snacks.
When people ask us how popcorn can be real or honest, we say “Glad you asked!” Rocky Mountain Popcorn is real: it’s light, fresh, crisp, and big… just like the mountains themselves. We find the biggest, moistest kernels we can, and only hot-air pop them. Rocky Mountain Popcorn is honest: it’s delicately coated with natural flavors, not smothered with pretentious-sounding hoo-ha. You won’t find corn syrup or partially hydrogenated anything in Rocky Mountain Popcorn.
Eat just one handful, and you’ll remember what popcorn is supposed to be.
If it wasn’t apparent before, I’m hooked. If you are wondering where to buy, just check out their webpage! You can even order online!
This Celiac gives Rocky Mountain Popcorn two thumbs up!

Love the layout of your blog! Thanks for the great info – my best friend is a celiac, so it’s always good to have another item to add to the (short) list of possible gifts 🙂
