When I woke up, I knew it was going to be one of THOSE days. If you have chronic illness, you know what I mean. Probably would not be the most exciting in A Week In My Life history but would offer insight into far too common days in the lives of those who battle illness. When I peeked over the side of the bed, I think Charlie agreed:
Charlie had confiscated one of the pillows that had called off the bed and made herself quite comfortable in front of the floor fan. Charlie turns 13 next month and has starting having issues with arthritis so I think our bond has gotten even closer! On cold mornings, I’m not sure who moves slower me or her! She is seriously one of the best things that has ever happened to me and she provides the best therapy with her presence and her cuddles. I wish that I had known more about therapy dogs when she was younger because she would have been excellent. If only I could say the same about Chloe…
My gut instinct was right when I woke up. This is the best picture to describe how my day went:
A heat pack, meds, and ginger ale. Some days require more rest and medication and this day was one of them. This was my view for the majority of the day:
Thankfully there was an all day marathon of Ghost Hunters and Ghost Mine on SyFy that helped keep me entertained and my mind off the pain! Maybe I should send them my “ghost” picture from Charleston I did learn something today though. I learned firsthand about some of the crazies there are on social media. It was the first time that I have ever had to block someone on Twitter and I have been on Twitter and other social media platforms for years. If I were to ever describe someone as cray-cray it would have been this chick!
My lovely surprise of the day was Abby’s school pictures that had arrived! I braced myself when opening the pack because you never know what school pictures are going to look like but loved what I saw! What a pleasant surprise!
They actually took 3 different poses which I had never heard of before! The company the school used is Teddy Bear Portraits and I am very impressed! I wasn’t planning on her hands being in her pictures as I was imagining the standard school picture pose or I would have done something with her nails! Oh and I forgot she had a temporary tattoo on her arm too. Mom of the year right here.
That was my Wednesday! How was yours?
