I cannot believe that today marks FOUR YEARS since writing my first post here at A New Kind of Normal! It is so crazy! I never ever would have imagined how much I would enjoy blogging and that there would actually be people who would be interesting in reading what I was writing!
I began blogging because it seemed like what everyone else was doing plus I really needed an outlet. When ANKON began, we had just celebrated two years of marriage, I was healing from my third surgery, and we were getting ready to embark on our first cycle of fertility treatments (which is kind of funny since here I am 4 years later waiting to take the same medication – Clomid – for an entirely different reason).
The community and support I have gained through blogging and later twitter is indescribable.
You have held my hand during my journey to motherhood.
You have supported me through each new diagnosis.
You have stood by as I wrestled with my faith.
You have celebrated with me in so many ways.
So as a thank you for all that you have done for me over the last 4 years!
Actually, regardless of an “entry”…I just wanted to congratulate you!! As I’ve just started expanding in blogging, myself, I look up to you and your postings as inspiration. YOU ROCK!!! :o)

i’m a gmail-er and at clg1213 (to avoid random computers stealing it and spamming). i’m looking at surgery next month myself (for back stuff…i’ve had 3 laps for endo and 2 ENT-related surgeries but this is the first overnight stay) and the GC would totally go to books for the hospital and recovery time.
So have enjoyed my time getting to know you recently. I’d love to win the GC 🙂 Oh, and we need to “chat” at some point. As I’ve looked back through some of your older posts, I’m finding even more that we have in common! Congrats on 4 Years!
