Busy busy busy!

Busy has been the word to describe my life this past week!  We set out for John’s parents last Tuesday night for Thanksgiving and honestly I do not know how we could have fit any more stuff in our car!  I’m not sure how travel is going to work for Christmas!  One of us may have to ride on the roof!  So we jam packed the Focus and headed down the highway!

We had a great time visiting with John’s family.  Abby enjoyed visiting with her G-nanny and Pops and even got to spend some time with her great grandma!  Friday the fun began . . . Abby has been teething for quite some time but they decided to work on making an appearance on Friday.  We could see one start to poke through and by Saturday a second decided to join the party.  Friday night her fever was around 103 degrees.  Saturday it hovered between 100 and 101 so I figured it was just related to the teething.  She wasn’t showing any other symptoms (no cough, no diarrhea, or anything like that).  We hit the road early coming home and spent the rest of the day trying to relax and let Abby adjust to being home.

Sunday morning her fever spiked to 104 degrees and basically she stayed in my lap the whole day.  She still didn’t have a lot of other symptoms but she was starting to tug at one of her ears.  She was just mainly really fussy.  Monday morning I called her pedi first thing and we went in for an appointment.  She had developed an ear infection (which I know is common with teething) so we started a 10 day course of the pink stuff which she has surprisingly taken without much resistence.

Sleep has been fleeting in our house.  I don’t think I’ve gotten a good night sleep in well over a week.  So I am dragging big time.  I just know that as Scripture says “this too shall pass.”  I just can’t believe she’s getting so big!  Where has my baby gone?

Hopefully this week I will get back in the swing of things and have some more to post about!

I love hearing from you!
